Can you play Shakespeare in ten different ways? Yes. Can you improvise on the theme: How does one enter a jungle? Yes. Can you look in a mirror without seeing yourself? Yes. Peculiar questions with equally peculiar answers.
Balancing between cabaret and classic stage acting, Peer Mascini paints a self portrait. It is a performance with many inversions: jumping from dryly humoristic to utterly moving, in the ironical acting style of “Gouden Kalf” winner Mascini that we know so well.
What do you believe in? When are you happy? What is sense and what is nonsense? It will all become clear in this light-hearted solo of this Hero of Commercials of the 20th century and veteran of the Dutch theater (Werktheater, Carver, Orkater) Peer Mascini.

"Wat een heerlijk voorstelling van Peer in Hoorn. Uniek stukje solo toneel, onderhoudend, grappig maar nooit plat en heel boeiend. Ongekend voor Nederland. Gaat Peer nog door met deze voorstelling of is er nog iets anders in het verschiet. Nogmaals dank en hoop hem snel weer te kunnen zien in een andere voorstelling."

"Een hele bijzondere voorstelling gehad van Peer in Lemmer.  Nog nooit zoiets meegemaakt in "theaterland". Totale verwarring,  improvisatie en onsamenhangende verhalen . Ben erg benieuwd naar de recensie en naar recensies van komende voorstellingen. Ik heb vol verbazing zitten kijken, af en toe tenenkrommend, maar ondanks alles had ik zoiets niet willen missen. "
